Sarah kisses Lewis after their wedding at the bottom of the aisle in the Goring Room at Pelham House Hotel, Lewes.

Sarah & Lewis

August 28, 2026

Sarah and Lewis hail from Maidstone in Kent. Like so many others, they were attracted to the incredible Pelham House Hotel in Lewes, which offers a unique blend of Georgian features and modern style, alongside picturesque private gardens. The couple opted to hold their ceremony in the Goring Room, a beautifully lit ceremony room at the front of the venue, just in case of unpredictable weather.

It was an emotional affair. Tears were shed freely throughout the day, including during the preparations, ceremony, speeches and first dance. As with many weddings, there were a few special people missing, including Sarah’s beloved grandad. Lewis gave Sarah a wonderful gift: a bracelet engraved with “Love Grandad xxx” in her grandad’s own handwriting. More tears.

A big part of my job is making sure the couple understand me and my approach, and that I understand them and their expectations. Many weddings, such as this one, are booked years in advance, giving me the opportunity to spend time with the couple and get to know them. It was a pleasure to meet Sarah and Lewis, as well as their family and friends.
